Resume

This page showcases three different resumes. The first one you see is my general resume that I use for job applications. The other two are AI generated resumes that are tailored to two different careers, a marketing specialist for Nintendo, and an English teacher in Japan.

I gave Google Gemini a pretty simple prompt to start. I asked it to create two different resumes based on the PDF it was given. The specific words I used were “Can you create two different versions of this resume, one that relates more to a social media marketing position for Nintendo, and one that relates to being an English teacher in Japan?” It then gave me two different resumes, both slightly updated to fit the job I wanted more. The main thing I noticed is that it didn’t change much about my original resume, just highlighted the parts that would be best for the job I wanted. For example, for my social media marketing resume, it highlighted my skills in content creation, and my past experience as a social media manager. Same goes for the teacher job, except it highlighted my skills in Japanese language. I think if I did this again, I would asked Gemini to rewrite my summaries for each resume to better target the job I would be applying for. Then, I would ask it to change experience based on different jobs that I have had. Prompt engineering for AI is super important, because AI is not always correct, and we want it to give the best and most accurate answers possible.
